I thought I remembered there being a post about this somewhere either in this section or in the Interior section but no such luck finding it. Hopefully I'm not making a double post. Well bought a 98 2 dr. 2200 base 5 spd. Really miss the setup in my ole 99 with the Eco swap and power everything. What would be easier, swapping to a 96-98 interior LS harness as well as a 00+ interior and cutting the dash to make the cluster fit or swapping everything including the engine harness to a 00+ setup? I know all that needs to be done with the interior but limited to the knowledge for under the hood. I know the gas tank changed as well as the lines and sending unit because of the ohms signal difference. Wouldn't be a bad idea to change the tank since salt is hell on the old metal tanks and my fuel pump does whine a little. I know the fender mounted pcm was changed to the firewall mounted ecm/ecu for 00+ and the evap system was moved behind the fuel tank 99+. I'm just wondering on sensors and the fact that I'm running the Isuzu tranny and not the Getrag so possible sensor and/or data line issues. It's probably easier to just change to a 96-98 harness and cut the dash. Also probably smarter in the long run since I'm still waiting for my Fiero buddies to work out the bugs before I swap in a 3.6 vvt or llt with the f40 6 spd.
