SO, im currently running a panasonic HU, that looks great, but sounds mediocre, and i want an upgrade. Ive got a 200-250 dollar budget, and i want something that will sound as good as possible for the money, while not looking like a brick if possible lol. ANyways, throw some suggestions my way. I was considering the Alpine reciever with no CD slot, the IDX something, but im unsure if its actually a decent quality piece

i have the alpine cda 115 i love it sounds great for the price and has lots of tuning options on it

Gotta give a little more info on features you must have and things you can live without? There are a lot of options out there, honestly in that budget I say look into Alpine, Kenwood Excelon and maybe even Pioneer and see what has what you want. It's not going to be junk no matter what with a decent budget and a quality name brand.

Also look into the new sony line. My shop just picked up their new head unit line and have been really impressed.
