I'd like at least power locks, and preferably keyless entry. An alarm is not a necessity. I want to save $, and preferably a kit easy enough for me to install myself. Suggestions? It's a 1998 two-door Cavalier...
Just in stalled a power lock kit and keyless entry on my sunfire. Aslong as u have little time to sit and think about what ur doing its the easiest thing to do. I have pics fo my install if u need help also. I got the kit from Jason for around 120 i believe maybe less its autoloc.

not having power locks helps you maintain flexibility

Flexibility? What do you mean?
Ryan, I checked out the Autolock kits and they seem like a good buy; $75 for just two-door locks and $125 for two-door remote. Which did you pick, just out of curiosity? And where did you mount the control unit?
I think by flexibility he meant reaching behind you/across the car to lock/unlock doors.

i got my alarm installed for 150...for an extra 40-50 bucks you could have power locks AND security.
GO PATS!!!
i got littel power oc actuators, hook up to your power supply and thin connect to your alarm, under $70 for both
Goto the junkyard and find a 96-99 cavalier with powerlocks and rip it out of there. I know the 00+ is a bunch of fun, you have to change the entire body harness, except the dash harness. And get a new BCM, but I don't think you have to do that with the older ones, I think it's a different setup?
i got the SPAL pistol lock kit. all i had to do was hook up 3 wires from each. so when i lock one it locks the other. pretty cheap too.
I'm thinking of going with the SPAL kit too.
mine does that two. lock one door they both lock
