Brother had this set up in his car and it was stupid loud. I put it in mine and it doesn't sound close at all... I messed around with the amp a bit, but don't really know what I'm doing.
It definitely needs a new box, the old one is falling apart.... literally. Maybe that has to do with the performance.
Anyway, is this a decent combo?
I'm also running a craptastic "walmart special" headunit with stock speakers.
Anyone have a good way to tune an amp? I'm kinda lost at that part.

Still not low enough for a signature.
Bad box = bad sound = bad for sub. Get a new enclosure that is sized for your sub/car. Cavaliers love sealed boxes close ro the trunk lid... like 6 inches back is teh sweet spot. No clue bout ported or any other enclosures, i just run sealed.
