Hello Im, trying to do a project where I resdesign and relocate my stereo controls to a different location on my Pontiac Sunfire, like for an example, i'd take the stereo apart and wire the main controls ie' volume and equalizer to a different location like in the center console, in which I'm gona remove the center console compartment and place the controls around there. I'm curious if I'd have to design a new board for the controls and if someome could view the controls and or board on the stock 1995-1998 AC Delco cd equalizer stereo and create a schematic for me, so i can design new control locations for it. what i'd like to do is have the volume in the center of the center dash with fade and balance next to it with the equalizer control right above that. i'm trying to go for a modern/futuristic design. the stereo unit itself would remain in the dash with the cd inlet still there.

Why not find the steering wheel controls out of a gt sunfire and make those work?
