so my head unit is going to be coming on wednesday(this is the one i ordered http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KDR330/JVC-KD-R330.html?i=105KDR330&tp=5684#customer-reviews-tab) and im just curious if a new head unit will increase the chances of blowing my speakers? my friend just installed a head unit on his car and he said he blew a speaker. do you think he decided to just turn the volume way up?
also, what do you all think about these speakers? http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT1638F/Sony-XS-GT1638F.html i want to get new speakers this summer and i read that 6.5 inch speakers are good if im not going to run an amp

You wont blow a stock speaker with a aftermarket deck unless your cranking it up and its distorting.

Those speakers arent the best....but depends on your budget.
