I have a 2004 cavalier lss and trying to clean up the engine bay. I was wondering how to remove the cruise control unit. I've done a lot of searching online and couldn't find out how. If anybody knows I would like to know step by step how to do it. Thanks to everybody in advance.
unplug the unit, disconnect the cable from the tb and unbolt from the strut tower.
Thank you but what do you do with the plug that goes into it? Just leave it there hanging?
yup....mine is
I just hid the wire and such but it can stay dis connected

WTB this cruise control unit!!! Actually, I'm making a trip to the junkyard tomorrow hoping to find one.
I tucked my plug behind the grommet on the firewall into the wiper cowl. keeps it from hanging around or touching anything and will look cleaner then just hanging around.
If you don't want that cruise control unit, you could, you know, pass it on to me
I'll probably look into removing mine tomorrow. I don't have any of the wiring on my harness so it's just in the way lol. If I get around to it i'll put it up on here
