I have a 2004 Cav with a harness for the radio that plays the chimes through the driver side door speaker but no music comes out of it. I have 98 harness from my old one that sits around and was wondering if I could use it and get rid of my chimes so my door speaker will work.
Why not just disconnect the chimes from the speaker? I dont have that year but correct me if im wrong but is that even right? Never heard that before

The only thing running to the speakers is the two wires and the factory plug. PO put in some nice infinity speakers and soldered in the plugs to look like factory. 00-04 needs the special harness for the chimes to work and I'm just wondering if the harness for 95-99 is the same plug so I can delete the chime all together.
