Welcome to the forum.
Post some pics of your ride.
The 2005 you have is an LS Sport, not a Z24. Maybe somebody put Z24 emblems on it? Either way, not a big deal, just letting you know.
I have not installed a double din in a 00-05 dash, but I have installed a few stereos over the years.
What double din did you get, and what came with it? You might not have to drop $100 on that ebay kit, looks like it comes with a lot of stuff you might not need. I would recommend going with a company like Crutchfiled, and possibly a $15 dollar kit and a harness adapter would work for you:
American International GMK-422 Dash Kit
Call them, chat with them or send an email about what head unit you have, and they will point you in the right direction. One of the best customer service companies I have ever dealt with. Highly recommend. Been buying from them since the 90's.
Also, use the search button on this site - very usefull if you haven't already. Here are a few 00+ double din installs:

Your going to want one like this. They have two different ones. One with chimes for a car with a factory amp and one with chimes without an amp. The factory amp is on the left side of the trunk, To the left trunk hinge behind the carpet. It is usually grey in carpet. If you get the cheap harness it will not have switched power wire and you will have to run your radio power wire to something with switched power. Also if you don't get a chime box and you leave your keys in etha ignition or yo lights one it will not warn you. It is your choice. My scoche chime harness was $35 and works great.

thanks and ill post pics up once i get the car outta the shop! just finished detailing it and changing all the fluids and spark plugs! also got rid of the crappy trailer hitch the past owner put on. The deck i got is a Sony WX-GT90BT. Guess ill keep looking into it...my ex used to have a 01 cav and when i did nte stereo on there all i did was buy a basic harness n run a wire from the wiper fuse to the radio....
I havnt worked on newer vehicles but if it's like a 99 u don't even need a harness. Can just hard wire altho it would be easier if u had one. Anyways radio mounts are usually under 30
