Been working on this remote start. Got the passkey module installed and all the wires hooked up. Only thing I can't seem to find is this second ignition wire (white wire). I've looked all over and just can't find this wire. Can anybody help?
Thanks,
Tim
On the tech sheet I pulled up for your vehicle, it doesn't list a 2nd ignition wire...
If its there, then it would be in the main ign. harness w/ all the other wires- starter, batt, acc etc etc..
If its not right there, then you don't have one and theres no need to energize it to start the vehicle.

there is none. some cars have two so they can distribute the load. we just have one.

just hook it to the same wire as the other one is. thats what i did and it works fine.
Ends up it was a Ign 2 or Acc 2 wire. I changed the config on the brain to use it as a acc 2, wired it to the brown accessories wire then it started right up. Of course I had to look up the passlock module to. But it's all up and working now. Thanks guys!

i have an alarm and i wanted to do this onl problem is that all alarms arent the same are they? i dont know wut color from the actual alarm goes to remote start i have an autopage 850-lcd n theres like a million wires under my dash.. tells me the temp of the car on the screen n everything .. no one will put it in around here because it is a 5 speed..i already know the dangers ect so no need to tell me about that
The wires in the CAR that you end up tapping are the same, regardless of the alarm installed...
There's a ton of sites out there that list the wire colours for various alarm taps... <www.the12volt.com> comes to mind...
