The flashers stop working when i arm or disarm it . which color is the flasher in the factory alarm and in the bcm so i can check where is the problem.

Sorry to hijack a post! But I have a similar question I cannot seem to find the answer too and starting a new post seemed kind of pointless!

I've had my car for a while (97 sunfire GT) and since I have owned it the key less never worked due to a faulty remote, well I finally broke down and got a new remote and programmed it, well the operation is great, locks and unlocks doors and releases trunk, but there is no confirmation it has done so, IE flashing lights or beeping horn, just dome light turning on. Is this normal? Also I have a fuse marked security, and well I lock the doors with the remote, unlock them with the key and can drive away... what kind of security is that ??? lol
