I know that lots of turbo sizing questions have been asked and in one thread the super 60, looks perfect. How about something like this one?
EBAY TO4B 50 TRIM
I would like to purchase a turbo and www.westcoast-turbo.com doesn't respond to my emails, Site is under construction, maybe that is slowing them down. Anyways is a turbo like this a well suited size?
I understand that T04B is larger than a T3, but is a T04B .50 a/r, bigger than a T3 .30 a/r
I hope all that made sense,

that is a t3/t4 the exhaust side is a T3 .48 a/r
it says so in the auction title.
sorry, I thought you were concerned about the ex. side lol
I saw that after I posted, I wish we could edit or something like on the heights... oh well, ^^^^ is right T3/T04B, anybody?

well when i worked out the numbers for a N/A jbody with a 2.4L engine... the hybrid T3/T04E 46 trim worked perfect for you guys... you would be right up the middle of the turbo map... and i think it was a 50 trim? was the next best with a bit more turbo lag but bigger top end...
a 60 trim is what i am running in a T3/T04E but i also have/need the supercharger to spool it up faster... i think on a normal Jbody a 60 trim would be just a bit much and you would have to big of turbo lag...

What are your thoughts on aT04E 57 trim on a built (forged Wiesco's & Eagle rods) 2.4 with a ported 086 head and HO intake?
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
so that is for a T3/T04E, how would that compare t o a T3/T04B?

A T3 Super 60 with .60 a/r compressor housing, .48 turbine housing, and a stage I wheel is all you need for a pretty much stock engine.
The T04B is a little big for a stock engine considering it's made for about 400hp.
Funny you link to down2turbo on eBay. I just purchased yesterday a T04E from him.
Awesome guy to purchase turbochargers from and I've delt with him in the past before my most recient purchase. He's extremely quick about shipping (I had my tracking number within 30 minutes of using the buy-it-now purchase).
Send him a message on eBay and tell him you want a Super 60 with all of the things I said above.

what if my engine is fully built and wanting to run 250-275WHP... then would it be a good size?

yea i would say go for it... make sure you got a 62mm throttle body or else your HO intake wont be of much use...

if your engine is fully built you could easyly run 18-20psi of boost and have over 300hp.... at this point you would be coming closer to the max of one turbo and not quite at the min of another so you would have to see and ask around to see what others are running..

Yea Josh I forgot to mention the tb although I'd really like to put a 70 mm on it but the spec sheet I saw on the T04E 57 trim said it flows 53# per min which should be good for 530 hp yes? I also plan to have the entire turbo 7 HO intake extrude honed then have the turbo rebalanced. This has been known to add 20 - 50 hp on other turbo engines.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
so would anyone say this is a good turbo size? it's a toss up between this and a super 60
