OK so Im a noob at this, and Im working on building a custom setup, My own piping, exaust and all. However when looking for a turbo I know I should Look into a T3/4 turbo and when Looking at them Ill come up with something like "T3/T4 A/R .50 TURBO 3-STAGE "

Whats AR stand for?

Whats TRIM?

3-stage?

nice car i looked at your profile whatever you do dont switch to the 4 speed keep your 3 speed and add a shift kit from the jbo store youll thank me. As far as reading compressor maps do a yahoo search youll get so much resutls your head will spin.

I did the 4T40E swap over a year ago man lol a little late on that, I never had the 3 speed. Ill read the 101 and see what I can learn

A/R is area vs radius( size of housings) .42 compressor is smaller than .60, .48 turbine is smaller than .63, get it? The trim is the ratio between the exducer/inducers on the wheels, IIRC that is. And no, I don't have any books, I've just asked/looked around till I found the answers. IDK why everyone can't take the time to just explain something to someone, just don't go asking noob ?'s all the time, unless you want some serious flaming!

Yes its a boosted showcar that I DO drive TO and FROM shows, so its not like I dont use it! I may not be the fastest boosted J, Deffinatly not faster than alot of NA J's, But not as Poo as a STOCK J!
