Ok all i need to know is what size NPT tap I need to tap for my oil return. I have the Hahn oil return kit for the ecotec. Also, which side is the oil retun need to be tapped. Im guessing the back of the oil pan because of the flow of the oil.
I used a 3/8 pipe tap... I drilled my whole maybe 3/4 of an inch above the drain plug... worked real great

It might even be more, i went as high as i can above the drain plug, didn't really measure ... It really the only good spot to tap the oil pan, it was the only flat spot on the oil pan...

he is talking about an ecotec. Not a 2.4L
I dont know how the hahn setup works but....
the best place to tap for oil return on the ecotec motor is in the girdle above the pan. It is made for that and it is where the stock saab turbo setups run to.

If you look at the back of the engine its pretty self explanitory. It kinda sticks out.
I have posted pictures of this numerous times. A simple search for "ecotec oil return" finds several threads.
here it is again tho.
I started out with a small drill bit and worked my way up. That way I could change the angle slightly to make it come out in the correct place on the other side.
