Team green this starts with you... I believe the first boosted one was speed racer? no? well if not it doesnt matter...
I am seeing that in every area one J gets boosted, people meet up with him/her and then BAM (thanks emeril) its a wildfire... I have to thank Travis Mcnulty for my first boosted J ride..
then I got turbo... and I frequent york PA now there are a bunch of J's going turbo there... and so on and so forth...
plus my roomate is doing an ecotec swap and boosting it too..
anyone else see this?

Soon as I did mine, two friends went out to the junkyard and got turbos. Of course there setups are hack jobs, which gives cavy's bad names! It takes alot of money/time into our cars to actually gain respect in the world of sport compacts.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
Damnit... I need to go take some rides then!
All it took was a ride in JMack's beast to make me a believer.
Oh and helping out John McD with his car made me want boost more and more...
I haven't looked back since...
Check out my Part Out List!! Great Prices !!

i blame peske teske for me trying a turbo
which was a diasester , and equaled a blown motor from hack
but that lead to me getting the super charger , and i couldnt be happier
only 2 of them around here that i know of (richmond va) J's get absolutely no love around here. I guess everyone just wants to drive the same hondas and subarus.
99 Turbo Sunfire GT | Ram 2500 | International Rollback | Mr Hanky the Suburban
i know you said it wasnt important but im kinda curious, but was jim trivino the first 3rd gen boosted J?
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
this is exactly the reason why im going with an all motor build haha not saying going boosted is at all bad, it is definitely fun riding in a boosted ecotec j body, but its like you mentioned EVERYONE is doing it haha
The one, the only, ME.
my first boost experience was a dsm that ran 13.7's.. not that great sounding, until you ride in it. The AWD launch just glues you to the seat, the boost holds you there.
I miss my turbo sunbird

Actually it was between Jim and a guy from Florida. Jim drove to Fl to have Speed Craft turbo his car. I was around then and saw Jim's car after it was turbo, but never knew who he was then. Jim was the one who made the turbo 3 gens known. Also one of the first to build a motor (or have built) for a turbo J. Not saying the very first but close.

I first took a rode in Jamie Smiths and John Staffords Turbo 2.4's many moons ago.
I then boosted shortly after, and theres only like a few J's around this area, and not as many boosted...only 1 boosted J, not really alot that I know of in Illinois...
Of course theres Hypsy....

yea i knew it was very close, jims car and web page is what got me hooked on js, i cant even remember how long ago that was... like 5yrs..., btw anything new with the reaper john?

I don't know if thats how it works or not but here my take on it...
I got a ride in a couple turbo Z's... to be honest I liked my nitrous more. I'll always take nitrous over boost, the ONLY reason I got a turbo kit is because it was a price I couldn't turn down, even for not really wanting it hahaha so now I still have my nitrous and a Hahn stage 2 on top of it
Is there anyway to turbocharge or supercharge a 2.8L in my 1988 Z24; my goal is 200-300hp without nitrous but I think it would be cool if I could still run juice on a Boosted or Blown engine. Is it possible?
The Faster You Become, The More Enemies You Develop
no you can't use both... its completely impossible to use nitrous and boost
Phil, you're my turbo hero!

If only I had rode in your car before I bought mine off of HanzenRider, you could've claimed me as well.

NO nothing new with the Reaper. It has been sitting for about 7-8 months. Something happened with the motor (but we are not sure what). It has been sitting since. I was going through a divorce and money had been tight. We are ready to start working on it. I have lots of plans for it. I should be putting updates out here before long.

look up an 88 Grand prix with the turbo 2.8 v6 in them. you can use all those parts. Although hard to find. McClearen made them in 88 the first GTPs

Hey I see you're in Pekin. I'm probably 2 hours away. You're right there aren't many boosted J's around that I know of, but you can add me to the list as of yesterday
Do you know if there's going to be any j-meets or anything in peoria or anywhere around?
