The GM Ecotec kit is supposedley intercooled. Yet, when searching through posts, nobody I can find has an intercooled GM Blower. I've found water/alcohol injection, but no intercooler. It's sold with the kit, but not with the parts to connect it. Is their intercooler supposed to fit between the radiator and the front of the engine? That would work well in that 1/2 inch of space...right. So how does this work? Is there a good picture showing how it's supposed to fit in there somewhere? It would be nice if all this made sense.

-Thanks

for the ecotec supercharger kit there are intercooling coils inside the intake manifold. Im not exactly positive, but i think if you wanted to hook them up you need to install a coolant pump from a cobalt ss

So the GM Kit comes with an entirely new intake manifold too? Not an actual FMIC.

So without that pump, it can't be intercooled?

OK well I have the GM Charger on my 05 and even though the kits states it is intercooled it really isn't, it's intercooled ready. Basically the cores are in there. If you wanted to get the parts individually you would be spending another $1800 on just parts to hook up the aftercooling system with brand new parts.

I am currently going through the install right now actually.

actually the intercooler for the GM charger is not l ike a FMIC you would buy for a turbo. It's integrated in the intake mani and allows circulation of coolant through the intake mani which cools down the intake temps... the GM charger does not come with the stuff that allows you to run the coolant through the IC but it does include the IC itself since it's integrated in the manifold.

there should soon be one or 2 guides on how to properly hook up the stuff that,s missing to have a functioning intercooled GM charger, I believe at least phlat cav is preparing a guide, not sure when he'll put it up...

ive answered that question for you before

and had you comprehinded what others wrote

youd know the kit does not come with everything to make it intercooled

the intake manifold has what it needs and that is IT !!!!!!!!!!!

you need a pump , electrical stuff for the pump , 3/4" hose , a resivoir , and a heat exchanger(mini radiator)
