alright so my buddy has a AWD turbo dsm and has done alot of free mods to make it faster.
so i'm curious, as to what will help you lower you times at the track, not absolutely gain power but just lower times..without spending much money on it.
things that i'm thinking about
tire pressure
colder plugs
weight reduction
what are some other things that will help it run faster for relatively cheap.. (besides increasing boost)
i know this is kind of a noob question, but i've been thinking about it lately and don't really want to raise the boost to much, but with the 3spd auto the car isn't going to be that quick, but every little bit will help so that why i'm curious

he has so much he can do. i know a guy that ran a 13.2 on an almost stock dsm in fallon nevada.
i dont know what tools and materials he has at his advantage but ill give you a few ideas to pass to him.
and i dont know how advanced he wants to go with it. if he plans on huge mods then go directly to dsmlink dont waste time with and afc or anything else.
take out the plastic sheild in front of the ic. take the ic out and clean it (if possible make hard pipes) clean out throttle body as well. (or even buy a fmic core off ebay and make piping or go to muffler shop and get some made for $200-$300)
buy a downpipe and just run downpipe at the track.
manual boost controller and aftermarket boost guage. get a 14b turbo off a manual turbo 1g, you can run 18-20 psi on race gas safely.
get a manual tranny i would get an act2600 clutch, make longer slave cyl rod out of an exctended drill bit.
get ahold of a 2g mass off ebay (i got one along time ago for like $10 because the stock one sucks.
weight reduction helps.
he wont need to lower tire pressure yet on an awd.
i know some of this costs money, but it gonna help in the future.
Home Depot made MBC........
Hacking off exhaust or run open dump
There's all kinds of CPU and fuel tricks for DSM's that doesn't play a roll in a J's life
Hmmm
Doing the o2 sensor trick to fool the car
weight reduction
ABS brake removal
Getting your turbo ported
if you have a sidemount, make a scoop for it somwhere to get better air
Blahhh that's all I know for now.
N2O + Bolt-ons
= 220Hp/
250Tq
Coming Soon:HpTunersPro, EagleConnectingRods, WiescoPistons, 13sec2200

lol thanks for that...but i meant more for our cars, he knows what he can do to his car
i was curious what we can do to our cars to help it out
like how did that one guy( sorry don't remember his name) run a 15.something on a 2200 auto with bolt ons.. he obviously was doing something right but what
It is different when your car came turboed from the factory and your doing small things to give a little extra here and there.
As far as colder plugs, well if you turbo a J you should already be doing that. Lowering tire pressure well regardless if your turbo or not you should be playing with that at the track. Weight reduction if you are serious about racing you should be playing with that as well.
