buying alky injection this week and wondering whats some links to some kits you guys have used and what kinda alcohol exactly do i use in the tank and does it suck down fast like nitrous or what? thanks
Get the Devilsown alcohol/methanol/water injection kit. It is less money, better pump than coolingmist (150 PSI over 100), and there is a GP on them right now.
Group Purchase On Kits and Chance is a good guy for questions, he makes the kits.
On my set up I tapped my windshield washer resovoir so I keep my windshield washers and have no alky tank in the bay. It was an easy install and very clean. It is really a mist so the fluid lasts a very long time, and since its about a buck a gallon its cheaper than nitrous. So it should last I have heard a month depending on how long you drive and how often in boost.
Go for it!

looks like the GP is over at end of april so it says, also it doesnt come with a tank for 185 bucks? i thought the cooling mist one was only like 130ish also. i could be wrong.
I thought the cooling mist kit was 300$ last time I looked. And why would you want a tank, windshield resovoir is easy and its already there.

i HIGHLY recommend SMC alchol kit.... i personaly use it and its VERY well put together... the controler has a low alky light, armed light (just when you turn your car on it says its ready to go basically) and a another light when its actually spraying so you can fine tune it to an exact boost level...
as well the controls are to set what boost level it comes on at... and pump speed... you set this to a certain psi that you want the pump to be at its max at... so you can have it come on full out right off for the track and for the street you turn it so it never reaches max and you dont use much at all and the controler is pretty small and just mounts inside the car so you can tune it as you drive rather then having to pull over and change it ever few min to get it right
and it is VERY easy to install takes no time at all you just figure out where you want it before you order it and then he askes how long you want the lines to be (i can get you pictures so you can see exactly what lengths he is talking about)
here is the link for it... its the universal kit you want... and the picture of the controler and tank are different from what you get slightly... i can get pictures of what actually comes with it..as its not in my car right now

400, ouch, i hate to be cheap but i was looking for around 200 or 250 to spend since the girlfriends buying this for me for my birthday, hmm
i got the coolingmist with tank off e bay. i like it. 215$ shipped.
personally i would look into devilsown or enginerunup, not dissing coolingmist. just them kits seem to have more parts then coolingmist.
need anything else answered just let me know.
(do some searching throughout this forum, we covered alot of ?s u have and ?'s u probably will have.)
what cooling mist kit off ebay? universal one? thanks jake
the one with the tank.
i will search for it in a bit and post back.
get at least a M4 or M5 injector. i tried a M2 at first and it didnt work well.
www.mcmastercarr.com has cheap injectors, look up "brass injectors", or misting nozzles. page 1949 i think. 4.00 @ 100 psi is a M4 injector. they can be had cheap for 8$ shipped, comared to other places.

yea its expensive but not one problem with it at all... for me or for any of the guys i know with their GN's using these kits for the last like 5+ years ... plus the guy is AMAZING when it comes to any thing which may happen to go wrong... i had forgotten to ground a wire and it was out of sight and i couldn't find out what was wrong and i happened to dead short the circuit and blew every thing out and this was while i was on the phone with him and all he said was "hey no problem just send it down to me and ill fix it up for you no charge"

i think im gonna go with the coolingmist one on ebay that jake mentioned, does it come with directions because i didnt see them pictured with the rest of the stuff, also can i use just alcohol or do i have to use alky and water mixed? i heard you can use windsheild washer fluid alone too, is this alright? thanks guys.
The Devilsown kit is very well put together. The nice thing is the quick connect fittings for all the lines. You will love the alky kit. I just dont understand why people want another bottle in their engine bay, thats the exact reason why I went with Devilsown. An extra tank looks stupid if you are just going to run windshield washer fluid anyways.
Good luck, not sure about the nozzels for cooling mist but test your sprayer, its really cool how it mists.

the coolingmist comes with 2 qrt tank, not that big so i think that will be alright, can i use the injector (aka nozzle) the coolingmist kit comes with cause i heard some talk about buying another one?
I'm getting an extra tank because I'm not running windshield washer fluid. I'm going with the yellow heat mixed with water. That's why people like extra tanks. Heet doesn't clean your windshield very well.

i personaly just go with a mix of winsheild washer fluid with pure methonal with a slight bit of this lubricant which my dad mixes in any way since its his stuff for his car i just take it some times..
I know when i just was using straight windsheild washer fluid i got about 9psi constantly... it would go to 10psi in the higher rpms though...
and i dont think it looks that stupid... here is the picture of my engine bay with it in before...
also this is a BAD place to put it... you will see where i had it in the picture below... either have it far back from the throttle body or get the spacer i got (which i will post below) to have it after your TB or else you will get the stuff in your TPS sensor...
BAD PLACE FOR INJECTOR!
here is the spacer i got.. it has plugs in the holes right now... but there are 2 threaded holes you can use to screw in injectors or what ever but they only work to NOS nozzles... but being aluminum they are very easy to drill out to what ever size you need if you want to use the injector that comes with your alky kit.. but i am personaly going to test out some nitrouse nozzles first...

i have my tank/ pump in the trunk. dont bother me none. i can load up with grocery's no problem.
tell the coolingmist guy u want a m4 or m5 injector. he will ask what HP u think u are at and probably send u a M2 nozzle.
on ur set up boosted, i would go with a M5.
and it comes with directions.
i use a 60/40 ish mix of distilled water and HEET in the yellow bottle.
