I was curious who is running a check valve on their FMU setup with the hahn ecotec setup. I know I was told you didnt need to run it but at the same time im just curious. I have consistent 11.9-12.5 a/f ratios with 7-8 lbs of boost.
I am not running the check valve. Their tech guy said not to run it. So are those good a/f ratios for you? That is about the same boost I see. My wideband should be here Tuesday and I was just hoping for some good numbers to aim for.

No checkvalve here, and everything runs good @ 16psi
No check valve here....and I think I've got more mileage and racing passes on my car than anyone else with the kit, at least among those on this site. Never had a need for it and never even considered using it.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

WOW....Now that is just plain stupid. Saying that by posting a reply in an attempt to help that I am trying to be better than everyone else. Guess I'll just stop helping...that make you happy?
Bluesplash: It's not needed if you hook the vacuum lines up right.

I have never heard of running a check valve on a FMU. I have heard of it for the map sensor. I knew of a 2002 Ecotec that had to run a check valve of the ECU would freak, but most do not. Why would you run one on the FMU?
FU Tuning
I would imagine (swingin ni the air) if you realive some of the boost preesure from the fmu then it will see less boost. this will in turn give less pressure to the injecotrs. It's like a cheap way of tuning.
