I got the dip stick in there but its not sitting all the way down in the block. I was woundering instead of trying to fix this can i replace it with a cobalts dipstick since i noticed it is positioned better than where the stock one on the cavi is?

Mine did the same thing but trust me....it feels like its not seated but it probably is. IF the holes line back up on you intake manifold then your fine.
Mine was the same way, I thought it was fine then it started leaking quite a bit after about a week, so I put the one from the Redline/SS/SC and it bolted right up to the new manifold.

See I didnt have any instructions, so I didnt know how it was supposes to mount, Ill try to get pics but its more or less straight with a tab to mout on the side of the manifold where theres a machined out part

Odd I had a replacement for mine in the kit.
you sure 1 was there ?? and they didnt reuse the stock 1
the 2.0 dip stick will not fit ive tried , were the dip stick sits at the pan is in 2 different places
i took a long pry bar and pushed down on the lip at the base of the dip stick , tell it seated , and also used a dead blow hammer on the top of the tube
Positive I remember putting it on. If I didn't throw out the old parts I would show you the extra one I had after I finished the install. This new one was bent slightly differently so that it would fit with the blower and everything attached if I remember properly. Then again it has been like 5 or 6 months since I installed it.
so the 2.0 dipstick will not fit?
How about one from the saturn vue

How about one from the saturn vue. Will this fit better or fit at all?

very odd!
I agree!
I bent mine in place and works fine now. Also did the hammer thing to make sure it was seated. No leaks or problems as of yet.
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
