if these pics work can you give some info on this FMU? and how to adjust it and what it can do? the third pic shows what seems to be something broken inside?

Bottoms easy, fuel in fuel out. make sure to cut the return line for fuel though. top nut is for adjustments to fuel and the other is what you hook you vac line up to. there should be a spot for two vac lines on that brass section. the lower one is for your vac line from the motor, and the top one you can runa check valve off of. don;t need to if you have it setup that it doesn't vac any pressure

That broken fitting is the atmospheric pressure reference. It would be ok with no line running to it except that most FMU's need to have a check valve installed on that line to make it function properly.
