As some of you guys know, I'll be installing my turbo kit very soon, but I need a little help on some things. I am probably going to be using the GM reflash along with a FPR to adjust the fuel. The only thing I don't have yet are spark plugs, Wideband, Fuel pump and fuel gauge. I have everything else.
Now can I use a mechanical Fuel pressure guage under the hood or do I need one in the car so I can moniter it while at WOT? If it needs to be in the car do I have to get an electric gauge? I just want to double check before buying a $175 gauge.
Also, I searched this somewhat but didn't find an exact answer. What can I do so I don't have to worry about running out of gas when there is still some gas left in the tank? I forget what it is called...fuel cut? maybe. Anyways I just don't want to have to worry about staying above a 1/4 tank all the time.
I'm getting champion spark plugs and AEM UEGO. Wideband. Where is everyone else buying this stuff?

fuel cut issue is with 255 lph pump, you can cut out the dish and let the filter stick out, but I think doing the astro van or 190lph is a better idea.
as for a fuel gauge.. I went to a plumbing store grabbed a 5 dollar water gauge, then some 3/8" fuel hose and a hose T, and some clamps... ran the T right before the in on the rail, and ran the gauge onto my windshield so I could see if I was having fuel pressure drop. Once I was confident FP was not my issue I remove the gauge and put a straight through brass fitting where the T was, and threw the guage out.
no reason to have one under the hood IMO with a stock FPR
and buying from karo or ebay. screw the AEM gauge, get something that comes with the NTK sensor, bosch sensors are way off and just plain suck. Usually on the tich side, but whatever.
