Hey guys this might sound like a dumb question, but ive almost ran out of options so nething would be helpful, and im wondering if anyone thinks the same thing is wrong as I do. I think my turbo is one of those cheap ss auto chrome ones off of ebay, I bought the kid used, so I guess thats what I get. It only has about 3k miles on it, It ticks and makes a pecking noises all the time now, and it wont spool apast 2 or 3 psi, where before I was getting 8. I checked all of my pipes for leaks and retightened them all. Checked all of my t fittings and lines off the manifold. It sounds like it tries to spool and blows off some, but it doesn't have the same power as it did. I have my oil feed in the fitting underneath the intake manifold, I dont know if that is a bad spot and it wasn't getting enough oil and burnt up possibly. I searched and everyone else has theirs tapped on the drivers side, right above the egr block off plate. Im gettin ready to move the line to that location. If my turbo is bad, do you think it will still be ok to use the housing, and put good rebuild parts in it, or just buy a better turbo all together. Its a t3/t04e, doesn't have any markings on it, all it says is turbocharger on the stamp, with the specs. Anything will be helpful guys
that almost sounds like turbo back spin... is there brass shavings in your intake tube? does it smoke out the back, does the turbo have play...
and the most important questions.. at 8 psi.. what are you AFR and what did you use for FMU or tuning... sounds like that turbo might be fine.
you have a video or sounds clip? I could be thinking of something completely different

I haven't had time to check my intake piping just yet for shavings, but i will asap. It is smokin out the exhaust my buddie followed me into my house, and he said he could smell it cause I spooled what it could. So im thinkin one of the seals is blown and it's burnin oil. Im gettin ready to check for shaft play and all. Im hookin up my innovative wideband right now, so a/f ratios comin soon. I have a cartech fmu, with no tuning just yet, but i have an appointment set up. I don't have much yet im just lookin for some suggestions, and help. Thanx shifted ill check it out and see whats goin on.....
