well i know this has been posted time and time again but alot of the people i cruise with with stage 2 cobalts and redlines keep telling me that a HE will work on my car and JBO seems to say it wont. So whats the real lowdown on this for my charger?

theres no way to make a pump and a HE work on the m45 at all? thanks for helping me clear this up guys.

It will work, it will take lots of fab work to make it work. It would probably take less fab work to make the M62 Eco s/c work on a 2.4.

IT WONT WORK

the m62 charger and m45 are way different.

the reason m62 guys can do the he mod is because they have them built into the manifold. where
the m45 doesnt have the pieces in the manifold.

so its impossible without lots of money and a good fab shop.

as skillz said it would be easier to put the m62 manifodl and charger on your car, and thats by far no easy feat, noone has done it.

my m45 will work easy with a intercooler set up , muhahahahaaa

pretty much the production m45 for the 2.4 , the s/c case and intake are 1 piece , that alone is why it wont work for you

mine being a proto type , the s/c and intake are 2 pieces , so its a matter of making something work

since the m45 is over taxed on the 2.4 , i plan on doing a m62 from the redline/ss sc

either way a custom intake manifold is needed

Don't we wish we could all be like you

I would love to see an intercooled M62 on a Cav, but I don't see anyone stepping up to get one made.

I'm sure he meant to say M62 on a 2.4TC.

^^ I think he meant m62 on an ld9 too.

I went premium again, so I have posts to waste.

My bad, I did mean M62 on LD9.

I thought about swapping to an Ecotec, but I have too many parts for my LD9 to make the swap worth it
