Hey guys, I currently have the turbo manifold from jtuners.com and their stage 3 kit. Today I had to remove the turbo for the second time, this time however due to the gasket blowing. My 2.4L 1996 Z-24 had a EGR system on it, and due to emissions I can't really remove it. And I'm trying to find a company who sells a Turbo Manifold for our car with the EGR provision. The turbo is a T3 Garret 60 Series running at 10psi. If anyone has any info, PLEASE e-mail me back at knightoflegends@aol.com I had worked closely with jtuners, and they modified their existing turbo manifold (non-egr based- and I'm just trying to find a better flowing designed manifold. I haven't heard from my guys their in a while, not sure what happend, they are a great company too =\

umm......dont quote me on this and if I'm wrong I'll deny I said it but I'm not sure you can run EGR on a boosted application as when the EGR opens up you will loose boost as the exhaust gases will flood to the intake instead of throught the turbo. Path of least resistance.
Even so.. on a EGR manifold, their is a tube attached to the manifold that leads to the EGR system, on a non-egr based manifold their is no tube, so no flow.... which means on my application my check Engine light will go on automaticly being my computer can't see whats going on?

^Yes, and what I'm saying is you can't run an EGR system with a turbo.

Not true....I am running a custom turbo setup with egr....i have no problems with egr function and/or boost loss
Im made my manifold and carved out the egr passage in the flange....
Hey Philio, can you send me a picture of your EGR outlet? I've been running my Turbo Cav for a while, and I don't think I'm losing any boost, my power band is smooth. Only hestation I get, is after the car is first turned on, even if I let it idle for 10 mins to warm up, when I first drive it, the car hestitates and jerks a little like its low on fuel pressure or something weird, if I play with the gas pedel and clutch it goes away and the car drives perfect. I'm still using the stock pump with my 320 CC injectors, but oh well. Manifold is off, turbo off, putting it back together tonight, should be on the road by the morning =)

I have the same manifold...
I recently removed my EGR & I will get rid of the CEL w/ HP Tuners...
However, before I got rid of it- I used a 4" grinder, and just grinded out a groove in the flange of the manifold- basically connecting that first runner w/ the EGR hole... It might be a 1/4" deep groove...
I used the gasket as reference....
Hey Red, thats how mine is currently as well. And the engine light at first, didnt go on. Then suddenly it wanted too as if to toy with me and make this even more of a fun project, I've delt with it for months now. What does HP have to offset this?
