well my car is running extremely bad here lately and i have no idea why. It all started at the track week ago where i ran a 14.4@94 all charger, no alky injection and street tires misfiring in every gear really bad with a broken exhaust weld (went to track cause it was last one of year before they closed wendesday nights), since then of course the check engine light has come on and stays on, keep getting random misfire codes which seem to stay on and when i accelerate on the street ill get a misfire outta nowhere even in 3rd gear. Heres a list of problems and changes ive done:
Problems:
- misfires randomly (gap is at 40 and about 4 month old plugs)
- sputters after the car reaches first notch on temp gauge and have to rev for about 10 seconds to fix it, sputters also after you turn car off for lets say 10 mins and start it back up
Changes:
- was going to put on t/b spacer but decided to modify it a different way for the alky injection so put t/b back on and rechecked hoses and everything and took off t/b off about 3 different times doing so.
- put brand new tps sensor in then tried the old one that was in it
- have had it tuned but that was 4 months ago and it was running ok then
im really stumped on this one because seems like the cars just slow as piss anymore
forgot to add, car seems like its slightly harder to start also, like it takes longer and not as touchy as it used to be.
what you think i should look for/do when i do so?
VAC leak, hapened to mine, put some RTV where your "O" ring is, its probly flat and not sealing any more.

has your car ever worked right?
not trying to be a dick but all the my car isn' running right threads in my mind are from you.
anyways there are 3 things for it to fire, compression, spark, and air/fuel mixture. start narrowing it down, see what your fuel pressure is at, thats a simple fix, if the fuel filter hasn't been replaced in a while replace it. are the injectors clogged? if the misfire one cylinder or multiple? pull out the plugs and check them out, me personally, I never pull plugs out to just inspect them, if I have them out for any reason what so ever I just replace them rather then reinstalling them, they are cheap enough. check out the plastic under the igntion cover, look for carbon tracking, check the spark boots for signs of arcing spark. Scan it for faults, so if theres anything stored, hell even try finding a friend with the same motor and sap the whole ignition system minus the plugs, its simple to do and an easy test.
They are way to many possibilities to just say its misfiring whats the problem.
I'm with "Darkstars", sometimes spark plugs just die without any advice. Also a momentary fuel enrichment in the fuel/air can ruin them. So check all of that and when you check for cracks on the boots, put some electrical tape around them if there is any doubt (just for cheking, then replace it if its bad).
