Starting Project Turbo 2200
Saturday, November 04, 2006 8:46 AM
I am now starting to piece together a turbo kit for my 2200 OHV. Im hoping to get all the pieces over the winter and have it installed by spring. Ive bee looking into buying the Garrett T3 TBO322 60 trim 60/63. I found a used one from Spooled Motorsports for 325$. Wanted to see if any of you have delt with them before and also if anyone has used this turbo. Any comments are wll appreciated. Thanks Guys

Well, I know I wouldn't buy a used turbo unless it had a guarentee, or I could inspect it in person.
As for moving the alternator, I have yet to see anyone have to do that.

The downpipe coming off of the header on my 2200 was less than 2 inches from the altenator. I witn through 2 maybe 3 altenators when I had the turbo kit on there. The downpipe was ceramic coated, wrapped, and ceramic spray on the wrap. It would usually kill the altenator when I was eiither hauling ass or racing on the highway for long periouds of time.
If your altenator goes out, make sure you buy one that has a warrenty.
