Hi guys...
I'm almost finished installing the intercooler setup on my eco s/c, the only problem that remains is securing the coolant pump somewhere... I had it tie-wrapped to the radiator as mock-up but when it came down to installing the hoses they wouldn't fit... so basically all that remains for me to do is secure coolant pump, install hose from heat exchanger to pump and pump to intake mani....
any ideas ? my pump is the f150 lightning one... I saw 97cavie's large brackets (which must be from the f150 too) but I don't want to drill holes if possible, and I'll be content to secure it with tie-wraps (the first place we put it it was impossible to move it once it was secured, so don't say it'll fall off)...
thx for any help...

i used the pictures that phlatcav posted
here as a guide for when i installed mine. i set mine up almost exactly the same way as his. i'm not sure how helpful this is in your case though. my pump is directly behind the radiator and more or less sits on the rail that the radiator rests on. i used a worm gear clamp to secure it in place. i haven't had any problems with it other than a leaky hose that i just replaced. if you want pics i can run outside and take some for you.
It's not the cleanest install, but it's functional:
It's on that lower support bracket just behind the driver side wheel. The red wires point toward the front of the car. The hose you see comes from the intercooler into the bottom of the pump, and it's pumped upwards into the intake manifold.
Here's a picture showing the intake manifold if that helps.
Geez and I thought I was stupid using the bracket that came with mine to secure it onto the oil pan using pre-existing holes that only needed the holes tapped out. I think I need to relocate mine and use one of these ideas instead!
My apologies, the pump was turned around so the ports were on the other side in the final installation....
i used the actual redline/ss-sc bracket for the pump it bolts up to the lower brace for the s/c
no brackets came with mine smartass

no, but a large rubber insulated p-clamp would also work in a similar manner.
None came with mine either.
nor a wire harness. A Ford dealership wanted to charge me over $500 for one.
the wiring harness is an injector plug off of an older GM vehicle procured from the salvage yard....

we will make our own wiring... should work just fine no ?
about the p-clamp, is this something I can find in a home depot or what ?
thanks btw... I'm such a noob at custom work

Well the advantage to the injector harness is that it includes the water resistant/proof locking clip and seal with it, and seeing as this will be mounted low and forward on the engine that may be a good thing.

They look like this:
and maybe an industrial supply warehouse would be better suited then a do-it-yourself place. I would also add a second hole if possible to insure proper atachment.
my holes were threaded, I just cleaned them out with a tap....
get a fuel injector clip from a 1990 Corsica 3.1L V-6 for $12 at Napa.
Plugs right in, nice and smooth.
