has anyone ever fabricated the brackets and piping to make one of these superchargers work on our cars?? i can get cnc aluminum pieces made cheap if i cad up blueprints so i was thinking about trying it.
it would be interesting to see a good kit with one of these blowers for us. The ripp mods kit is putting down awesome numbers for the tiburon guys.
i have a 2200 motor and dont waant to go the turbo route. i think i could make this work for a lot ess money. and i always prefered superchargers over turbo. dont really know why.
If you think you can do it go for it. If you could produce an actual kit for the 2200 you might be able to actually make some money.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
RSM (ZSpec) used to make a kit for the 2200. They don't anymore and, unfortunately, I am unable to find any pics of thier set up. If you can find some pictures of it, I'm sure that would give you a good basis on how to fabricate a setup for your car using that supercharger. I have a Vortech Supercharged Ecotec and I love it.
Dont bother trying to look for the rip off artists(RSM, Z-spec) kit. They run the blower off the intake cam. Your best bet is to get rid of the AC compressor and make it fit there. You could intercool it and have one hell of a setup.

those were my thoughts exactly. im looking at that style superchargers for prics and if it is going to look doable i should be able to get started in the beginning of the new year.
RSM's where the pully is shown on that one above had a long rod about 10"s long i would estimate and towards the end had a bearing which the rod went through and that mount was connected near the alternator. Then the pully to have it belt driven, duh. The charger portion sat right where the turbo guys have theirs mounted. This is tryin to remember it from memory. I don't have a picture but i was about to order one, but then all the RSM problems started comming forwards.
Thats all i can add.

yay for people spewing out bad information !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you woulda read he has a 2.2 ohv , and the rsm kit did not run off the cam , it was shaft driven off the serp belt
only the 2.2 eco tec and 2.4 were driven off the cam
I think I remember a long time ago reading on here about someone doing it with a Mercedes charger I think. This was before we had a boost forum though so I don't really think you can even search for it. LOL
