question about turbo timer install...
Thursday, November 30, 2006 6:33 PM
hey guys, i am in the process of installing a turbo timer, the problem is, i can not find any slack anywere to try to tap into the wires off the ignition. the wires on the colum have no slack at all, nor was i able to pull them below the dash. and then up under the dash, i can not get enough slack out of that bundle heading twards the fire wall. any suggestions? anything i missed? or am i just going to have to butcher this job? the only thing i can think of is those plastic tap things. but i would hate to use somthing like that, for the reason i am proud that till now everything has been soldered....

Never installed on cavi, but with my Talon I had to unplug the harness from the ignition to get the to the wires. You should check to see if a turbo timer harness will work with the cav and get one of those it makes it SO easy and turns the TT into a plug and play pretty much.
