Dyno results are here! GM S/C 2.4

I swear my car was built on a Monday. No matter what I do, I'm always below what everyone else is. Oh well, at least I'm happy w/ the overall state of the car.

The setup: 01 Z, gm s/c, stock reflash, 2.7 pulley, custom cai, 59mm tb, pacesetter header, full 2.25" exhaust, auto tranny, mark pain lower mount. Boosting 6 psi in the low range and rises to 7 psi w/ a spike of 7.5 at the top end. Temperature was about 58 degrees, on a Dynojet. Pulls were from gear selector 3.

For those who don't know how to read (I had this problem before in the racing forum) that means: no alky injection, no hpt (but not original flash), no upper mount, no upgraded fuel pump, no green tops (using kit 310's), and no manual transmission.

Best pull: 169 hp, and 174 tq. I was hoping for 200 whp, expecting 185 whp, and fearing 160 whp. I guess it wasn't too bad. Damn this auto tranny. The reason for the low tq number on the last one was because he tried to start the run from a different rpm. Also, we had no downshifting, the gap in the graphs is from where the torque converter locked in. I also don't know why the graph isn't smooth, its kinda choppy. I also didn't take the a/f reading because they would need to do a new bung for their wideband, and I wasn't willing to double the cost of the dyno runs for that (because I don't race much nor do I ever really dyno nor do I have uber crazy mods). I also think I hit the speed limiter which is why it doesn't go all the way to 6500.

So, lemme know watcha guys think. And yes, listen to that bitch whine.

Grab HPT and fix those shift points - helps soo much on an auto tranny.

What were your A/F ratios at?

Its not a bad increase from stock, but a little tuning would be a great help for what you really want out of it.

Sounds good, But you are making more power than that. Its a pain to dyno auto and you wont get the correct number with out using a tech 2 or hpt to hold the tranny in the selected gear. on the dyno you car wants to down shift no matter what gear you manualy shift it to. See if the shop has a tech 2 and if so they can get a way better reading.

true story, i dynoed 170ish on a dyno without using the tech 2 to lock the gear in. then dynoed 245 with the tech 2 and gear locked.

mine was at 186whp and 175wtq , and it was in the mid 90's when i dyno'd , it runs low 14's at the track

i had my alky on when i dyno'd also , and all 4-5 of my runs were very close to each other , my afr was in the mid 11's

mine also didnt run to well on the stock injectors , i didnt gain much tell i went with 36's and droped the fuel pressure to 30 at idle , my afr on the stock injectors for the s/c kit i ran low 13's under full throttle

yeah in 3rd gear youll come up short of the rev limiter
