Hi i was wondering if there is a HKS blow off valve kit for Cavaliers 2002 Ecotec. First off I'm new, I'm not installing it, just looking for the answer to which one I should I get. So don't reply search because this is my first time on this site.
Would the universal HKS SSQV work? I have talked to a dealer who says I have to by an adapter and weld it on. steel or aluminum, which one is better? I am wondering if there is a way to have HKS valve without it being permanent.
And which blow off valve, if not the HKS, would you guys suggest getting?

ok thanks do you know how much the Turbo XS RFL FTW would be around? the HKS i think is only 199.99
It says the The BOV Type H-RFL is designed for turbo charged engines running 10 to 25 psi boost. mine is running at 8-9 psi. hahn stage 2 turbo kit. so would it make a difference is noise?
also this one is also weld on. are all blow off valves weld on?

yes all have a flange that is welded to the charge pipe......and no no difference in noise...from 5 psi -45psi its all the same noise.

I have a HKS SSQV bloff valve. You will need the universal one and also a flage which is sold seperate. You use the same metal as your pipe so aluminum pipe = aluminum flange and vise versa. Mine did leak a litlle at first. The only reason is it is tough to get it seated in the groove but once you do it will not leak.

ok, are they hard to install or can a home mechanical (with elding experience) do a good enough job. and do you remember how much the flange was?
Check around, you maybe able to find a used kit with the BOV mounted and ready to go already and just cut the piping to fit.
