Im pretty shure they are but After buying them and getting them I realized the Harnesses ARE dfferent, the Fords are MUCH larger with a larger guage wire!
So Are these deffinatly the right injectors and Should I just Cut off the stock harnesses and use the Ford harnesses?
If so does the polarity matter?
I don't know how thin the 2.2L injector wire is, but I just spliced the ford harness to my wires and they run great.

The injector clips I bought had both plain white wires for the negative and positive. Injectors act as resistors, so polarity doesn't matter.

i don't know why everyone says you need to use the ford wiring, i used the ford red tops out of a supercoupe and the only reason i spliced any wires was becuase i was using megasquirt..and i cut the plugs off the harness to use for my megasquirt. The stock plugs should work.
heres 2 pictures of a red top next to a 2200 stock injector..
look exactly the same to me.. so please explain why you need the ford wiring plugs?
edit: okay so my pictures suck.. but you can still see they are the same

I can't speak for the 2.2L OHV or the ECO, but the 99+ ld9 injecor socket is completely different.

I cant take a pic right this second but my stokc plugs are about half the size and the connectors are pins instead of "spades"
WAY different
and I have a 01' 2200
okay so i'm taking a wild guess and saying 99+ jbodies have the socket you are talking about and 95-98 have the socket that i showed..because i just pulled an injector out of my 96 ld9, and it has the same type of injector..

yup...99-02 ld9 injectors are the skinny high impedance ones with a different socket

so if i have a 2002 2200 in my car the red tops would increase fuel flow for when i boost the engine right. if this is correct what type of vehicle would i swipe these from or should i just buy some new ones.
yes, 99+ 2.4's, and I *think* 99+ 2200's use the new smaller style plugs. I have BOTH style plugs wired into my harness, so I can swap back and forth.
If you have a 99+ you can use the Ford Red top injectors, 95-98 use a low impedance injector, 99+ uses a high impedance.
My Red Tops where Red/Black like the 2nd pic of them, not Red/Tan like the first pic (maybe dirty?)

i dunno, they are red, on the top, they do fit my rail and they re FORD injectors.\
So I hope they are ford red tops.

i think 99 was a bastard year, because i had a 99 motor and it had the same injectors that i pictured also. i have 2 sets of 2200 injectors, 2 sets of ford red tops, and 2 sets of 95-99 ld9 injectors..all the same

Agreed...GM made it pretty confusing doing the change over in the middle of the production year... but essentially, if your 99' 2.4L doesn't have an EGR, then it should have the high impedence ones.
