gauge cluster

hey everyone, i have got a guy that has a 2005 cavalier and he is getting the s/c for the engine. he has told me that he has sent his ecu to have the rev limiter and the governor taken out. so he comes to the dealership i work at and asks me if there is a cluster replacement that would show over the 110 mph mark. now i didn't ask any questions i just got his information and told him i would get back to him. well that was at 1:00 p.m. today and i have found nothing and gm performance doesn't currently have anything. so i am calling on you guys to help me out. any info would be apreciated.

thanks
jordan rogers

Yes, correct me if i'm wrong, but blackcatcustom.com sells a kit that has a 140mph conversion for the 00+ gauge clusters. If i'm correct, you send the Cluster off to them and they put it in for you.....but go to that site and you can get all the information from them....if you contact them, talk to Alex, he's a great guy and can help you out!

Yes Blackcatcustoms.com is the place I know casue I have one in my car with the 140mph speedo, but you don't even have to send in your cluster you just order it and install it. No core charge and you get to keep your original, I had a custom one done which mimics the Autometer Carbonfiber gauges, because of this I paid 341 shipped to my door. I believe they run around $250 - $300 for most of them and you can even get Sunfire cluster if you want to further customize your setup. Also the 140 mph setups are calibrated so they read correctly.

2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.

is there any problems with the pass lock or gm's theft lock system when the new cluster was installed?
