Ok, heres the dilema. I parked my car for the winter after i had turbo charged my 2.2 eco. so i decided to go into the garage today and fire it up so it doesnt freeze over too to much. So i start it up and gas starts spraying everywhere!! this sucks royally! anyway, i found out the gas was coming from: ok this is gonna sound confusing but ill try my best. It was coming from where the new billet aluminum peice attatches to the fuel rail. with the Hahn stage 2 kit u get a aluminum peiece that pushes onto the end of the fuel rail with the 2 ports in it. now there is 2 o rings(even on the factory ecos') that are in there. and one of them is shot. so my question is does anyone have a part number for that? i went on GM parts direct and found nothing. and i want to make sure to get the right size this time. because what originally happened was when i was putting the kit on, the original o-ring cracked. so i went out and got a o ring set with multiple o-ring sizes, so i put it on,(it was slightly smaller then the orignal, but it didnt leak for the 3 months i drove it in the summer. now it got really cold, so maybe it shrunk or deteriorated? maybe it was not a fuel o-ring? i unno. but if u guys could PLEASE find out the part number for those 2 o-rings inside the 2002 Cavalier Ecotec 2.2 fuel rail that would be AWESOME! thanks

That's your problem. and call the gm dealership for the two o-rings.
Couldn't find a PN#, maybe try

I can save you man. Hold onto your a$$. These puppies are expensive and there are absolutely no generics that I found to fit inside. It comes as a kit with the two o-rings and the two bolts for the rail. You will also find that usually only two warehouses in the whole country stock these bastards as well, so be prepared to overnight them or wait a few days. From my experience, if you even take off that billet adapter from Hahn, you will 100% guaranteed tear the inner o-ring.
GM part number (a Delco part): 12574284
Price will range between $27 - $30. It's practically robbery!! But it must be done. If anyone ever finds generics, please let us know. Everytime I change my oil I run into this problem cause its easier to remove the adapter and get to the filter than going around it. But paying about $30 in addition to oil and filter gets kinda pricey for oil changes!!

God dont scare me, i am about to do an oil change to my car as well. but wouldnt it just be easier to undo the 2 fuel lines running into that billet piece? also thanks so much for the part number, now is that for both rings? or which? thanks
Yeah it's both o-rings and the two bolts...its a kit.
Well the two fuel lines have a clearance issue with the wrench. I'm pretty sure that I can't get them off too easy, plus I don't want to be wrenching on that bastard since those two little bolts won't like all that twist. I'll just have to check all my options next time I attempt to get to the filter.

GMpartsdirect.com FTMFW!!!!!!!! If your not in a big hurry its one of the best places for parts. It may take them a week to get it to you,but awesome for the money.
If you're using regular O-rings for a fuel application, then there's your problem. Make sure they're Viton material, or they won't last with fuel. I got a set of O-rings for my GTP motor from Crown Products (in OK, but there's more in TX and KS)... the trick is finding the right size. Mine have a -75 suffix which indicates the Viton material.
I have no idea on the size of the Ecotec ones.. sorry.
Yeah I looked through all the Viton o-rings I could find. No dice. It seems our inner o-ring is a funny thickness. Even if get about the right ID, the thickness is all wacked.
About Gmpartsdirect, they have low prices, but for that part I think they have to order it and then you also pay the shipping charges, which now border on outrageous for some things.

your kidding right? Why not just pull the 2 bolts that hold the fuel rail on, and move the whole damn thing if its in the way? And why would Hahn sell this part, if it impeads changing the oil? AND why the HELL did GM do such a stupid thing with the oil filter???

That is what breaks them!! LOL! No matter how careful you are the inner o-ring breaks when you take the two bolts out and remove the adapter. I suspect that it may have to do with the twisting action of when the bolts are loosened. The adapter Hahn made could be just a bit bigger/smaller than the GM part and the GM part wasn't really made to be removed often. The other thing to remember is that this part was only on the 2002 Ecos and redesigned for '03+. Hmmmm...I wonder why the part was re-designed so soon?
The oil filter wasn't bad with the stock setup, but the fuel lines with the Hahn kit pretty much cover the filter cap. Also, the guys with the superchargers may seem to have it worse as the supercharger inlet is right over the oil filter as well. There are times now when I wish I had a standard style oil filter down low.

not remove the adapter....... un-bolt the fuel rail from the HEAD, and move it........ keep the injectors in the rail, wont even loose any fuel.
IDK though, I've never seen what the Hahn setup looks like.

not a bad idea, however i even had to modify the injectors which came with my hahn kit, the intake manifold wasnt letting them slide in all the way. however, i found the O-rings at my work (Pontiac) and my cost for the kit is $9 CDN.
how did you modify your injectors? I had the same clearance problem as well. I ended up having to replace the injector clips because they got all broken.
"If you aren't shifting, then you certainly aren't driving!"
i took the stupid metal clips off, and trimmed some of the plastic off of the conencting clips, until they fit, then replaced the metal clip back onto the connector, and boom it worked. took a while to get the first one right, but after that it was pretty easy. pretty frustrating thing though, i wish the had better injectors which fit properly without getting the 03 fuel rail
Did you end up getting the 03 rail? Also, I don't see how you cut the plastic off and then kept your clips on there. I don't understand how other with the Hahn kit don't have these problems, at least I've never seen anyone talk about it. It seems as if everyone should have the same problem.

Sorry, did you by chance snap a photo of what you did so I can understand? I've already had to replace these bastards once and its like $40 for a set of them. I'd like to avoid rebuilding the harness in the future.
