People keep telling me that if I turbo my ecotec Im going to need new Cams, pistons and rods? Im only going to run the turbo at about 5-6 psi. If this is true and I do need to purchase all new stuff Im not even going to bother ....just let me know.....

You are fine for 5-6 PSI. Your stock internals will be fine.

your internals are good to 250hp. hell you could even run 8psi properly tuned without any problems.

I want to share something with you - the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, 'cover for me', Number two, 'oh, good idea, boss', Number three, 'it was like that when I got here.'

its all preference, your stock internals can hold the 5-6 psi reliably but of course built internals are going to be that much more reliable.

Cams also is a preference, not needed by any means but nice to have.

None of that stuff is needed, they are just really nice add-ons.

well with 3 psi I was running a best time of 14.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile but that was
spinning through first and a bit in second gear very bad prep that day. I only had all
stock except turbo setup and no tuning once so ever.
