Ok I have all motor parts now and am waiting on funds for hp tuners so I have some free time on my hands. I have tons of high pressure stainless steel line and I am wondering if it is any pluses to puttin in bigger fuel lines? I would then probably have to put in bigger return lines too but I have enough to do like 5 cars. It aint like a huge line just a bit bigger.
Let me know on what you guys think and what I should do.
Also I am hoping on running like 17psi of boost and am wondering what size injectors you guys/gals think I should run in my ecotec motor and not be working them full out right now I have 42lb injectors but someone told me that wont be big enough. I also would like injectors that would be able to handle 25 psi of boost knowing I would never hit that but you know its always safe to get a little bigger.

You don't size injectors to the amount of PSI you will run. You size them to the max horsepower you will create. I don't know what you have done to your motor to make it flow better, but I know 65 lb/hr is a popular size...I believe 75 lb/hr is as well. You could even run 1000cc injectors (I highly doubt you make enough power to need larger than this).

HP vs. Injector Flow Rate
if your gonna run 17psi you'll probably be up around the 300 range. Remember that chart is at 100% duty cycle which will burn out your injectors.
so take the HP you want and divide it by .8 to get the actual measurement you want for that chart. IE 250HP would be 312.50 or 42->44lb injectors being appropriate for reliability. However if you don't plan on running it hard all the time you could probably get away with a lower flow rate.
A race car shoudln't exceed around 80% duty cycle because your tryin to get maximum power all the time. A daily driver could get by with 90% to 100% depending on the habits of the driver, the safer you are the less chance of failure.
For a real life example I'm going to be running 36lb injectors and my goal is 240HP which means at full power my injectors will be running at 90%

For you question I would run the bigger fuel lines. You can get more fuel with the same amount of pressure (if you have bigger fuel lines). This will not affect what injectors you will need, but will help with fuel pumps.

My car will be running 1000cc injectors, stock fuel lines, and the Aeromotive FPR with a 1:1 gain...and I'll be using everything those injectors got with my new turbo and 25PSI. Anyone wanna guess on my fuel mileage after those injectors go in? LOL.

id go with 5 miles to the gallon. I put in an FMU with the stock injectors and my gas milage went down the DRAIN.

on the highway there is no reason that larger injectors should affect fuel milage, my 650cc do exactly the same as stock.. until I push some boost, then all hell breaks loose. My good friends neon with 1000cc can eat fuel like nothing I have ever seen before, couple high speed tugs is well over a 1/4 tank, lol, but out of boost, it does as you would expect from a neon. (he also lowered his pressure to 30ish and runs a mega squirt, tuned to 14.8ish on the highway)

Well this guy I know is running like 14psi of boost in his eclipse and the shop upgreated his fuel lines and I was just wondering if I should because sometime I hope to run around 21 psi of boost so I thought since I have a large suply of it I might just do it but I thought I would see if it would be worth while or just a waste of time. I am hoping someone could give me a definite yes its a good idea or no its not worth the time but I would sorta like someone that knew what they were talking about to give me a definite answer wiether to do it or not.

There have been alot of cars to run 300hp+ and not one of them runs bigger fuel lines. Personally I say its a waste of time. Bigger injectors however are a good idea espically if you have the tuning ability that hpt offers.
