I read in the ecotec boost faq that the geomety is the same between all three j engines is the same, but I don't know whether or not this is true. But that is the mani for the 2.2 ohv, I had the same problem ordering from obx, they don't specify that it's for the ohv and not the ecotec.

^^^ what do you mean they dont specify its for the OHV and not the eco. it says 98- 01 2.2. the eco didnt come out until 02.
Yeah sorry bout that, didn't fully read the description, minor brain fart.

ok i just dont understand were everything is suppose to hook then because the downpipe has no space. word. Has anyone seen this manifold on a 2200 or 2.2 OHV?
it would help if we knew the turbo he was running..

I got a T3/T4 Garret. i dunno deep specs on it since my friend odered it.
That post is worthless because knowone knows the specs on the turbo..
------------------------------------------------------------
they call it modifing for a reason
have fun AND MODIFY
I don't see the problem...It looks like it angles the turbo down, so the downpipe should be far enough down to clear the alternator bracket.

better a delay than a disaster.
it points the turbo up not down. The more i look at it the more i think it will work.
You know you can rotate each part of the turbo, right. Well, at least you should be able to.

wow, that manifold is a pile of @!#$.
Blew it up, build numbers coming soon

Yea on mine you can rotate the hot and cold side 180$, a few of them you can only position them by the different bolt holes in the housing.

OBX makes a turbo manifold for the 2200?
It's not listed on their web page.......knock off maybe?
I spent some time trying to locate another OBX racing turbo manifold for the cavalier and cant find one....at all. I sent an email to OBX seeing if they have one just not listed on their home page and if they even know about the ebay seller. In my email I sent a link to the auction.
I also sent an email to the guy who sold it on ebay. With any luck I will get an email from both. If they do infact offer the manifold I might have just found my turbo manifold for my LN2
I'll let you guys know what I find out.
Well, I might willing to sell mine it deffinently looks like its made from OBX, its got the OBX tag on it and its VERY VERY well made.
wow this is a suprize too because ive been looking for a turbo header for my 2.2L OHV for a while
Well i got the manifold today fromt he canadian guy. Its real sloppy but its solid and doesnt look like itll ever fail. Just ganna take some grinding.
think they will sell another header like that??? i really want one that manifold looks great!!!
Brandon
Definitely puts the turbo up high (the second pic is for flange placement comparison)...... I'd think it would be damn close to the hood....... let alone, how would you run the DP?
maybe someone needs to post up a turbo 2200/2.2 so we can visualize it.
The manifold does look pretty good, construction wise (although the DSM guys say the OBX turbo header for the 4g63 is junk).......
