Anyone know what gm recommends for piston ring end gap? I have .020 overbore wisecos going in on friday and need to know the end gap.
This is the same response I got. LOL.
Try shooting Bill Hahn an email. He, of all people here, should know.

PISTON RINGS
Stock 2.2L ECOTEC rings are recommended. For blown or
nitrous application it is recommended to increase ring gaps
to: .023 to .026 for top ring and .020 to .023 for second
ring.
From the GM Ecotec Book on Page 67.
Call Wiseco if you are using the rings that came with the pistons.
I called them to get the recommendations for my set up and asked about yours from what I could remember. For the following they said:
86mm bore .20 over, 10:1 compression @ 15 psi
0.019 - 0.021 Top ring
0.021-0.025 Second ring

What about the 3rd ring? They do know they put 3 ringlands on their pistons right?

You don't have to gap the oil control ring.
