If your already going to have the engine apart, you mines well get some nice, higher compression pistons to give you even more power.

~Boost. Its what's for dinner!~

You don't run higher compression with boost. You generally run slightly LOWER compression to help avoid detonation.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

you dont have to bore out your cylinders if you dont want to i have because i wanted to make sure my cylinder walls were nice and clean so i would have good compression but if you feel you dont want to do that you dont have to

you obviously have no idea what determines compression ratio.......anyone knows its dumb to "not" bore the block if its apart. even though the cylinder walls may "look" good, the human eye can not always be the most accurate. Get the block bored, if your running boost you want "lower" compression so you see no detonation. if your running a naturaly aspirated setup, then yes higher compression is "sometimes" used.....read read read man, you have alot to learn before you boost this jbody. dont be dumb and jump into the pool without knowing whats in the water.

i do know a bit about it now but was just wonderin if anyones after runnin this and if so howd they do with it ,,if i do bore it itll be .20 over with 9 1 compression but was just wonderin about the stock forged pistons,,,, at least if i blow it up then it wont cost a fortune to get the engine bored again

i do know what im talking about , when you have cylinder walls that have scratches in them , you can loose compression by gasses getting by the pistons that is what i was talking about
