High fuel pressure??
Friday, March 09, 2007 10:38 PM
Hey people,
I'm not a usual poster I just read and learn but I need some help. I'm running a Hahn stage 1 kit @ 6psi. My fuel pressure is right where I want it at idle but under full boost I can't get it lower than 115 psi. It seems to climb from 55 @ idle to 115 @ full smoothly. So is there just simply something wrong with my regulator? Or is the some other reasons that cause this? I'm at a loss here so any guidance would be appreciated!

It's caused by the FMU. The FMU is a 8:1 ratio in the standard form that comes with the kit. This means it is raising your fuel pressure 8PSI for every 1PSI of boost it sees. I used to get over 120PSI easily. If it really bothers you, you can turn down the idle PSI a little as long as you maintain good AFRs still.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Alright..that's fine by me. Most of my concern was simply because I was told to aim for 90-95 but if it is common I don't need to stress it I suppose. Thanks for the help.
