6psi of boost+4T40E tranny hesitant to shift?

So I finnaly after forever DROVE the fire yesterday with boost, I am pushing 6PSI and well its all awsome power wase HOWEVER It acts like its straining to shift from 1-2nd and from 2nd to 3rd(4th is fine)

When I get on it is when this happens, if I just lean into the petal(drive "normal") it shifts ok

You can hear the problem in the video, I have to let off the gas to get it to shift, you can even hear it hit the rev limiter 1 time

shift plus is a great friend to the auto

as well as having the trans tuned via HPT

How many miles on the car? Id like to think its the TC which isnt fully engaging... I have this problem on my car n/a and everyone says its the tc (been to 2 shops for other work and i had an aamco check it out) -- it goes away when i turn on the ol' shift+ however (but its getting weaker)

thats my guess.

My bet is it is your TC. Sounds like my cav. The TC is slowly going away. I can not tell with my shift plus on, but with it off at high RPMs you can tell and hear it.
My car has torque converter shutter, as the old guys at the track call it.

Hows it pull on just 6psi?

Pulls awsome, I really didnt expect to get what I got out of it. Its a shot tire on the front right so it dosent get great traction, but by only stomping the gas(no ebrake) it spints through 1st, 2nd, and about half of 3rd

Your transmission is slipping. It is definately the torque converter circuit board. Go to autozone and get a diagnostic. That's what it should read. Eventually, it will get stuck every once and awhile then it will skip extremely hard and cough extremely bad. I drove my car like that for 4 months. It just gets worse and then it happens all the time. I can't tell you how much it is to fix it. Not cheap though. My car is in the shop. A guy is going to look at my tranny, but first he has to put the motor in. I'll let you know in a week. Go to autozone though and see if I am right.
