Hello guys, I am slowly gettin back into the J world. I had a kid and took some time away from my car and now I'm slowly starting to work on it again. I have been reading alot of posts and learning more things. I just have a few questions to understand some things. I read alot of posts that talk about a 2 bar MAP. What is that? I also checked out HP tuners website and learning about what they offer. What I'm looking to do is put a 2.4 in place of my 2200 OHV. If I do this swap, do I have to change out the ECU? I have a auto that I'm changing over to a 5-speed as well. Depending on the type of 2.4 I put in I have to find the right tranny. But I'm leaning towards going with the supercharger rather than turbo. I'm still undecided. I know a turbo has lag and a supercharger doesn't, but a supercharger doesn't make as much power. What is your preference and why if you don't mind me askin?

ECU change, almost certain you have to change it, and the wire harness too...keep searching I´m sure there are some posts on engine swaps and what is involved
turbo or supercharger, mmmm I would stick a Nitrous system and get the most hp for the money instead, By the way use a 97 or up 2.4 and ECU for HPtunners compatibility.
