Shrams doesn't know there parts, i went looking for an 02 fuel rail off a 02 ecotec, and they handed me a fuel rail off of a 04 ecotec, ha ha?
Plus they are high priced!!!

well gm had those motors in the late 90's , i think the earliest cars i remember is a 98 , go through all the sema pics here , and youll see a few cars eco powered back then
so its very possible GM had the motor in a 00 sunfire , look at the motor mount , its got the regular 2.2/2.4 style motor mount
supercharger snout is different than the cobalt M62 also, and it looks like the inlet throat is different also.... funky.... if it is a prototype how the hell did schram end up with it i wonder?

That looks like the Motor and Charger that was on the Sunfire Mule car that sold at Barrett Jackson not to long ago.

if you look that header also has a leak at the collector to flange , looks like there is a pin hole in a weld

as gary said schrams gets to dismantle alot of GM's test cars , i got my 2.4 proto s/c from them also
and it took them how long to come out with the SC kit for ecos! BOOOOO
If i had a car that needed a motor and had 4G's i would buy it
I sent them a message asking about the question i had earlier, but no response yet. If i happen to get this would I have to do the normal ecotec swap or did they set the engine to fit into a 2000? Just curious.

Schram does know their @!#$, they may make a few mistakes, but overall they're awesome to deal with. You can come across a lot of rare items for decent prices you can't find anywhere else.
Examples of things I've bought from Schram.................
-amongt me and friends I've purchased 4 sets of '02 LS Sport front and rear bumpers with lips, $135/ea for the fronts, $165/ea for the rears, factory PAINTED
-brand new calipers/rotors/pads (GM/AC Delco) $80 shipped
-my best one yet, pretty much a one off GM Sunfire lip kit, they had it listed for a Cav, I saw the pictures and picked it up for around $200 shipped I recall. HUGE steal.
They still have not sent me a reply to my question, i sent it to them again. Hopefully they will reply one way or another.

Ok, they sent me an email back saying that there may be some fabrication work involved. Im not sure how since they have the 2.2 motor mount on it. I would really like to bid on it, but its still confusing to me, lol. They said it fits VINs with 4 as the engine code and thats what i have. Anyone else have any idea about what would have to be done in order to get this to work in my car? It would be nice to get this. Let me know if anyone has any opinions. Thanks
