Ebay manifold?!?! Is this good?
Saturday, April 14, 2007 2:10 PM
Hey, I just wanted to get some opinions on if the ebay manifolds are any good. I found a nice looking one on ebay that's stainless steel, but it seems like it's too good to be true at the price it's starting at. Anybody have any dealings with this guy?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stainless-steel-turbo-manifold-for-GM-Ecotec-engine-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ004QQitemZ140107625705QQrdZ1

Give me your input please, before I make a bid.

It's oh so cheesey!

i can't say for sure.... but I believe that may be a leftover CNFX manifold... if it is, I know who welded it, and can tell you its top notch stuff. Even if its not one of the ones my boy Jarret welded, the fact that its pipe says something good and from what I can see of the welds, they seem to be done by someone who knows their stuff (although the pics are too small to really evaluate them. For the price, I'd pick one up if I had an eco.... those other painted manifolds floating around ebay suck, my buddy has one on his car, and even though the car runs low 13's, he's had to repair cracks in the manifold after less than two years of running it and I think less than 15K of actual driving.

Yep, confirmed, those are welded up by Jarret and were designed by the guys at CNFX before the shop folded. Definitely a great buy for the money!

jarret is the MAN

and if that is his work, the engine will break before the manifold does.. the guy is a professional welder

..seriously thats his JOB!

Probably cuz Jarret didn't do the welding... there was a reason why Tony commissioned him to weld his manifolds instead of the other guy that had been doing it.

Chase welded mine. the ones Jarrett welded are top notch

the ebay ones that you speak of are extremely small in runner diameter compared to cnfx....

runner size really doesn't matter considering the ebay manifold runners still outsize the head ports on either motor.

Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
