t3/t4 hybrid turbonetics turbocharger, fmic, 36lb 370cc injectors, hptuned.
I made a stupid small video because I was bored. Thought it up in like 10 minutes, put it together in like 20 minutes...
Youtube
I Like it alot!!! Are you dyno tuned or just street? If dyno, what numbers are you putting down?
street tuned, we're going to a dyno like next month I think... it depends on if I can scrounge up enough money. Turbo kinda broke me, lol. I'm pushing 8psi, so you can make your own conclusions to hp estimates, cuz i'm really not sure???
Wow, did you put that kit together?
If i had to guess whp from that turbo 8psi, It would be around 180-190whp...just a guess. Good Luck with everything and don't forget to post dyno results!

7psi on my T3 Super 60 got me 240hp/280ft-lbs.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
^^ was that a turbocharged LN2, or LD9 tho?
on an LN2 thats about right, 180-190.
2200/2.2 LN2 I think is what that block is called. Yeah, another notech!

..
Yea I'm guessing that those numbers are not on the pushrod engine. LD9 with Shifted tuning skills FTW
I was hoping for 180 and anything above that would rock
Im interesting in see "detailed" pics of your piping...
P&P Tuning
420.5whp / 359.8wtq
Hows that?
Just from the turbo to the bov down throught the intercooler, underneath next to the exhaust and up behind the block and a small bend into the TB...

just looks like too many 90's and couplers.... Never seen a 2200 run pipes like that..... Also, any reason why you have your center section at such an angle??

how much did it cost you too put all this together..
for the love of GOD man get a air filter on that turbo, or at least a freakn screen of some sort!!!!!
it was for show, I wanted to show the turbo spinning...
I have an air filter..
ignore the exhaust pipe, that was temporary, of course, lol....
um, the reason I ran it like that is because I didn't want to cram two pipes down the place where the windshield washer fluid reservoir goes. Plus the IC has the in and out on opposite sides not the same side.
Great Video came out nice!
Let me know when your going to the dyno man, I'll log the runs and we can tune it better

tell me more about that methanol injection? got a 99 2.4 cavy turbo'd
I don't have it Whininz does, it's nice though, I've seen it
Derk, i'm thinking about turboing my 99' 2200 ohv. You say you put that together yourself correct? Well, i am getting rdy to go that route cause frankly, i don't wanna spend a ton of money getting it installed...i'm prolly gonna have enough for the parts. What do you have to put on besides that turbo and the piping and such....like any pressure regulators, pumps, or things of that nature...? Also, did you buy that turbo straight from the turbonetics site or ebay or did you go to a pick n' pull? I'm prolly gonna have more questions for ya as time draws closer to the project. Any advice would be great seeing as we have the same year car. Also one more thing....are you running a 5 spd?
Thanks.
auto...
450 dollars off of ebay with garrett internal parts....
You'll need...
-Turbo
-Intercooler
-Piping
-Couplers
-New Downpipe (or whole exhaust)
-Bigger Injectors and a way to control them (either a fpr or what I suggest... buying HP Tuners and getting a real nice tune out of your car)
-Wastegate (unless it's an internally gated turbo)
-Blow Off valve
-Boost Gauge
-Wideband o2 Sensor/Controller/Gauge
-Boost controller
- and lots of patience... plus extra money for like extra hose clamps or anything you didn't account for to begin with, I must have ran to Advance Auto like 10 times in one week getting crap I forgot I needed....
I'm going to the track tomorrow night, so hopefully I'll have some video or times for ya.
ok that sounds great...my friend and i are getting ready to put turbos in (he has a 98 sunfire 2200...pushing 200 whp without boost or juice...i'm 99' cavy 3spd auto pushing about 160 whp) i was just kinda getting a feel of how much it would cost me and what i would have to upgrade on my car. Auto eh....a 3spd maybe?
what is fpr? how long did it take you to get that all done and put in?
It took him about a month, and no I'm not kidding....
Not to be an ass, but I doubt a 2200 is pushing 200whp n/a with no spray, unless your custom everything with outragous cr ratio, even then that would be bad for boost. If you wanna argue with me then post pictures and mods please, I would like to see 'em
