What Injectors to use
Thursday, May 10, 2007 7:57 AM
I've started my 2200 turbo build and i was just wondering what injectors I could run, I'm using a walbro 255 pump
I've been told I could use 550's from a FC RX-7 or 310's from a 2.4 S/C kit. I'm only gonna run a IMI rhb5 for right now but that will be changed to a T3 Super 60 or something close, later on in the summer.
Thanks for the help

depends on your engine build... my turbo 2200 has brown tops (36lb, 370cc). I have a hybrid t3/t4 and I'm pushing 8psi with 75% duty cycle. If you put 550s on your car and don't plan on making a whole lot of power then that would probably be wasteful, using like 40-50% duty cycle. Peak performance is like 80% i believe... I would go with the brown tops for the simple fact that they clip right in to your stock holders, no soldering necessary.

X2

it all depends on what you are planning to push with this, which depends on what else you have done to the motor. go to RC engineering's website, they have a very handy injector size calculator based on desired horsepower, # of injectors, and max duty cycle. very easy to use, and you can get pricing for thier injectors while youre there
