tonight, went around and raced a little. Pulled up to my place, and heard the engine chattering and a little smoke coming out of my vent in the hood. I popped the hood and couldnt figure out where the noise or smoke was coming from, but stuck my nose in the area of the smoke and smelled like raw fuel. It also sounds like the supercharger is grinding a little, and theres this chattery grinding noise on the front of the charger/fuel rail area. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
possibly bearings in the charger, i would get a stethascope on it to tell. or a poor mans version of just a long screwdriver held to your ear, just make sure its long enough you arent putting yourself in harms way.
Yeah sounds like the charger bearings in the snout. Can't help ya with the smoke tho, sorry.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
I did hear the chattering noise around the snout of the charger, however the thing probably has about 6-10 hours of use. I installed the thing, everything worked good for 2 days, and I got in an accident (hit and run) the car had lots of front end damage (10k worth). I just got it back yesterday and noticed some of these noises. Could this accident have knocked something loose? Or do these things make noise like that? And the smoke and gas smell seems to be coming from the injector area closer the the passenger side.
Maybe an injector is not in the fuel rail correctly? I would check all of your fuel connections. If it is fuel getting on your engine, your next post may read "car caught on fire and burned up". Also, pull the belt off and start it to see if the noise goes away. Then you will know if it is the charger or not.
