So Im ordering my exhaust and my MAIN GOAL is to stay free flow but stay quiet as possible! OEM or less even!
#1) Are Glasspacks and Resonators the same thing?
#2) Right now I have a 2.5" downpipe So I plan to stay between 2.5 and 3" for the rest of the system, anything wrong with that?
#3) I am going to route the downpipe to the firewall where it will be flanged and go to the rest of the system
#4) Im going to Run the system down the strait channel under the car and then do a 45* turndown right before the gas tank, any problems with that, i DONT want to go beyond the axle, I want no tips.
#5) The Planned Setup- 2.5" DOWNPIPE-2.5"x8" Flexpipe-FLANGE==18x2.5" Resonator-18x2.5" Resonator-4" round 22" long straight through Magnaflow muffler- Turndown
Any problems with this? think it will be decently quiet and effective for a MAX of 10.5 PSI?

My response:
1. Anything straight through won't sound as quiet as stock... at least I don't think? With that many resonators, though, who knows?
All that I can say is try it and find out for yourself! I had just a 16" glasspack after the cat and straight out with a 1 7/8" slant cut tip and it left a little rumble around 3000rpm and screamed at higher.
2. Difference between a glasspack and resonator is the internal design. A glasspack has what some call "Fish Scales" on the inside and these "fish scales" block some of the flow but also absorb more sound. A resonator has a bunch of tiny holes but retains the straight through design. It will keep the 2.5" ID throughout it's casing where as the glasspack will not.
3. If you're going to run your exhaust as straight as possible, at least make it exit out the side instead of right underneath the car or you'll have major heat buildup and you'll smell it all of the time.
Its a show car, the heat and smell is not an issue, There is no way to run the exhaust out the side my pinchwelds are about 1/2" off the ground, so no room for a 2.5" pipe there

AHHH lol That low to the ground eh? Might want to worry about that 4" diameter resonator scraping the ground then.
I can tuck it in the exhaust channel no problem

1) Glasspacks and resonators are the same thing, just different names. The best ones have a straight through perforated core for maximum flow, as opposed to the "fish scales" that stick into the exhaust stream and cause turbulance like Joel Clear was talking about. Vibrant, Magnaflow, or Dynomax all use the perforated core glasspacks/resonators.
Using 2.5" piping will keep things quiet but 3" piping will flow much better. It's up to you which size you want to use. But you have the right idea with sticking in as many resonators as you can fit. Also it'll be much quieter taking the exhaust out the back with a larger straight through muffler than trying to squeeze one in before the axle. No matter what you do it won't be as quiet as stock if you want the most possible flow.
2.5" will flow decent and will be quieter
3" will flow the best and will be a little louder

Hmm well I only have about1.75" of space between the rear axle beam and floor pan so I deffinatly cant go over it. Quiet as possible, Stock would be nice but I can live wth whatever I get.

I love the sound of the intake however
The intake won't sound the same on a turbo car as it will on a N/A car. Even if you use the stock exhaust you won't get that throaty sound at all like with a short ram or CAI, it'll have more of a sucking sound with a high pitched whistle. Usually on turbo cars, unless you keep the quiet stock exhaust, you'll hear the exhaust.

A turbo itself acts as a resonator, so there's no reason to take up more space which could be used for something better. I went from a 2.5" exhaust to a 3" exhaust and the car got much quieter. Why? The 2.5" used a resonator, the 3" used a muffler. When it comes to quieting, the bigger the muffler the better. I currently have a large Dynomax, and it is great.

Exactly, Buddy of Mine has a Eclipse GST with a cat and 2 resonators and a muffler, Silent, even at high RPMS but hsi is very restrictive. But I LOVE the sound of the turbo Spool!
I have considered going with just two 3" Maganaflow Straight through mufflers....

This doesn't make sense... unless you are comparing a straight through resonator to a baffled muffler? Both resonators and mufflers typically have the same sound deadening material in them, they do about the same job. The only difference with the muffler is that typically they are larger in volume, and obviously the more sound deadening material you have, the more it will quiet down the exhaust.

Correct, muffler is baffled. The large straight-through 'mufflers', from what I've seen, don't actually quiet the exhaust at all, they just change the pitch which makes it seem quieter.

Straight through mufflers definitely quiet the exhaust. I personally have a 3" turbo back with a high flow cat, 2 short resonators and a Megan Racing straight through muffler. I've ran the engine without the muffler and it is quite a bit quieter with the muffler on.
Since resonators are essentially smaller straight through mufflers, they will quiet the exhaust, just not as much as the larger muffler, hence why it's a good idea to add in one or more if you have the room. They will still flow extremely well, but will also quiet the exhaust that little bit more. Baffled mufflers do quiet the sound better, but don't offer the unrestricted flow of straight through mufflers.

I'll make it easy for you....you're idea to use two 3" Magnaflow mufflers is a good idea and will work well for you. All Magnaflow mufflers use straight through cores for unrestricted flow, and the larger the muffler you get the quieter the exhaust note will be.

I have a t3/t4 turbo with an hks bov on mine, with a 2.5" exhaust straight back to a 4" muffler, from the back outside my car it's pretty loud, but still sounds nice not ricey or hickish, and when I'm in the car under boost, everything gets drowned out and all you can hear is my massive spool and blow off, the sound of the exhaust gets covered up almost completely... I can even have my 1600w system on full blast and STILL hear the turbo spool.. so trust me, if you're concerned about not hearing it.... you'll hear it
Oh the only thing i don't wanna hear is the exhaust, I just dont mind the spool.
My only real problem is that I cant go past the rear dead axle so Im very limited in space, I also cant have it hanging out, I have about 1" beyond the pinchwelds so not much clearance.
screw it, run it straight out through the FRONT wheel wells, lol. no restrictions

I'll say it again. You are going to hear the exhaust note unless you use the stock exhaust piping and muffler. Since for some reason you can't go over the rear axle, you obviously can't use the stock exhaust. Therefore, again, you will hear the exhaust.
