ok so long story short. the flex pipe has an exhaust leak in it. the location is right before the base of the firewall. i believe it might have rubbed on the firewall for sometime.
so my question is, would it be wise to move the new flex pipe right at the base of the firewall or is that too far?
i had to use a 1" spacer when i went with the 20g upgrade from hahn. (moved it futher back from lines due to heat) and due to that, it hits the firewall.
and what size is your dp?

Mine is just like Philio's too just 3", no problems at all. I had the same thing happening with my DP when I got my 20G from Hahn, till I upgraded the exhaust too

hows the clearence with the 3" dont mean to be a pain but can you post pics of it down by the turbo manifold or underneath?
due to the location of the flex pipe im going to have to get a new downpipe reguardless. gives me an excuess to go 3" just like to see what my friends shop is up against

I have had no issues with it so far.....no knocking or anything against the firewall.....
I will try and get some shots of it this weekend, we are doing some work on the car so I can get it on the lift and get some good pics.

actually that is a 2.5 in/out magnaflow muffler....it sounds really good......it doesnt have that raspiness on cold startups either..

Sorry John, couldn't get the car on the lift this past weekend. It looks just like Philio's though, just 3". I did the same thing as him as far as what I ordered too. The guys said there was plenty of room for the 3" bends I bought. If your guys are experienced welders it should be no problem. I did use the O2 housing that hahn sent with the kit because it was going to be tuff trying to get around the air conditioner piping by the firewall with that 20g spaced out. Let me know if I can be anymore help. I will get some shots, I just don't know how soon I can get them.
